The Golden Triangle
The Golden Triangle is the most famous tourist circuit in India. The triangle is made up of the cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Each of these cities offers you the chance to visit some of the most famous places in India and gives you a glimpse into the culture, history and people of India
Dehli
The capital of India with a main square that doesn't seem like you are India any more, with its wide streets and cleanliness it almost seems you have left India. Delhi offers so many great places to visit such as the Lotus Temple, India Gate, Akshardham temple and numerous other places, but my favourite place is Humayun's Tomb. Humayun's Tomb is a great place to walk around and learn a lot about the history of India. It is one of those places where you lose track of time as you make your way around the grounds visiting the different buildings and getting caught up in the history of where you are.
Agra
Home to the Taj Mahal the most well known and visited tourist attraction in India. Visiting the Taj Mahal is a unique experience that leaves you breathless. As you explore the Taj Mahal you are left in ora of the incredible detail and craftsmanship that went into building it. The story behind the Taj Mahal makes it even more fascinating. However their is so much more to see in Agra then just the Taj Mahal, so make sure to check out Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, I'timad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb and the other monuments from the Mughal legacy.
Jaipur
The Pink City as it is known since it was painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales in 1876. Jaipur is one of my favourite cities to explore in India as there is so much to see and do. Making your way through the city early in morning before the city comes alive is a great way to see how truly pink it is. Hawa Mahal is the first place most people visit when visiting Jaipur and it is well worth it. It's an incredible piece of architecture that leaves you excited to see the rest of what Jaipur has to offer. Spend your time checking out places like the Birla Mandir Jaipur, Jantar Mantar, City Palace and Amer Fort. However you must check out the Jal Mahal Palace in the evening to watch the sunset against the water and to see the lights shine on the Palace that makes it look magical. Also make sure you find a roof top bar at night to look over this amazing city.
